See here for the full festival programme As was done for the previous festivals, there are two open calls for works, one for scores by Irish based composers to be performed by the Hilltown ensemble-in-residence, and one international call for fixed medium audio works, which will be presented in a special listening room during the festival. Further details on the open calls for works are availabe here. The Hilltown New Music Festival takes place in the beautiful and picturesque grounds of the medieval castle keep of Hilltown House, an eighteenth century listed building. The buildings have grown organically over the centuries and create a unique setting for the twenty first century events that take place there now. The festival is a welcome treat for anyone who has an interest in and an appreciation for music and arts, from adults to children. This year for the first time there will be a special coach service from Dublin to bring people to and from the festival on each day. | |
